She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Henry Hurdle and Lena Arettia Evans Hurdle; her husband Ralph Tingen; and her son Andy Tingen. She is survived by: her son Tony Tingen of Raleigh; her daughter-in-law Becky Tingen of Washington; and her grandsons, Drew Tingen (Sara Tingen) of Raleigh and Charlie Tingen of New York City. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren.
