She was predeceased by: her parents, Clement Hayes Lowery, Sr. and Edith Tuck Lowery; her husband William Russell "Bill" Oakley; and her siblings, Clara Lowery Puryear and Clement Hayes Lowery, Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, Larry R. Oakley (June) and Scotty Oakley (Vicky); her grandchildren, Justin Kyle Oakley, Kaylan Paige Oakley (Hayden Rigney), Lauren Oakley Overby (Matt) and Austin Scott Oakley (Caroline); and her great grandchildren, Lillian Nicole Overby, Merritt Claire Overby and Saylor Paige Rigney.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the High View Baptist Church (144 High View Church Rd, Roxboro, NC 27574). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
