She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Edward and Mildred Seamster Duncan; her former husband Douglas Chandler; and her sisters, Betty Melton, Doris Clayton and Virginia Wilson.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Horton of Raleigh and Scott Horton (Heather) of Raleigh; her siblings, Darryl Duncan of Roxboro, Shirley Allison of Roxboro, Emily Gregory of Roxboro and Carolyn Oakley of Roxboro; and her grandchildren, Caroline Chandler Horton, Benjamin Bradshaw Horton, Jackson Duncan Horton, Anna Scott Horton and Douglas August "Gus" Horton.
