He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hymes and Kathryn Swanson Hymes; and his siblings, Francis "Tommy", Oliver John, David, Benjamin Jackson "Jack", Peter Paul, Phillip "Paul" and Kathryn Joy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jonathan "Joe" Hymes (Carol), Rebecca Hymes-Smith (Archie), Irene Mathlage (Bernie), Mary Law (Ronald), Lois Kelley (Kenneth) and Reita Newell.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Person Memorial Cemetery (3250 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573).
