Nettie Louise Winstead Obituary

We bid farewell to Nettie Louise Winstead (Roxboro, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 20, 2025 at the age of 72. Nettie Louise touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Archie and Lottie Louise Hamlett Winstead; her husband Curtis Winstead; and her sister Anne Winstead. She is survived by: her children, Adrona Crawley (Alecia) of Roxboro and Courtney Tanetta Winstead (Cynthia) of Oxford; her stepsons, Derek Winstead of Pittsburgh, Dante Winstead (Gaynell) of Roxboro, Terence Winstead of Roxboro and Curtis Winstead of Roxboro; and her siblings, Mamie W. Stone of Roxboro, Margie Williams (Lawrence) of Semora, Martha Smith of Roxboro, Byrd Winstead (Wanda) of Raleigh and Ruth DeShazo (Cornish) of Roxboro. She is also survived by seven sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mill Hill Missionary Baptist Church (1635 Mill Hill Rd, Roxboro, NC 27574).
