It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pauline Jones (Roxboro, North Carolina), who passed away on May 14, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Smith and Lula Tucker Smith; her husband Thomas Jefferson Jones; and her brothers, William Leonard Smith, Wilson Smith, Walter Smith and John Lee Hobgood.
She is survived by: her son Kenneth Jones of Roxboro; her grandchildren, Kenya Jones of Roxboro and Brittany Burton (Chavon) of Durham, NC; her great grandchildren, Emarie, Paetyn and Chavon, Jr.; her siblings, Mable Gentry of Roxboro, Shirley Smith Goods Paylor (Tezell) of Roxboro, Ellen Jones (William) of Raleigh, NC, Elizabeth S. Hughes of Durham, NC, Anthony Smith, Jr. (Sadie) of Fuquay-Varina, NC and William McClairy of Durham; and her daughter Cynthia Ann Linzsey of Roxboro. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
