He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kelly Herring; his daughter Debbie H. Fleig (Mitch); his grandsons, Dustin Fleig (Emily Furr), Cameron Fleig (Erin) and Taylor Fleig; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Fleig, Charlotte Fleig, Silas Furr, Salem Furr, Samantha Fleig and Caroline Fleig.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Person Memorial Cemetery (3250 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573).
