He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wyatt and Emma Louise Nelson Carmichael; and his brother Wilbert Carmichael. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Carmichael; his children, Jay Carmichael and Jenny C. Hicks (Craig); his sister Shelby C. Smith; his grandchildren, Kaley Fuller, Kenston Fuller (Kayla), Madison Hicks, Cade Hicks, Jenna Grace Hicks and Tarrah Crews; his great grandchild Kennedy Jacobs; and his grandchild Roxboro.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Brooks and White Funeral Home (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Lamberth Memorial Baptist Church (1026 Longs Store Rd, Roxboro, NC 27574).
