It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Etta Whitt Slaughter of Roxboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Frank Whitt and Louvenia Poole Whitt; her siblings, Romie Whitt, Otha Whitt, Frances Whitt Nicholas, Christine Whitt Overby and Sally Whitt Davis; and her stepson Chris Douglas Slaughter.
She is survived by: her husband Corkey Lee Slaughter; her children, Joyce McKinney (Allen) and Billy Pulliam (Tammy); her stepchildren, Schalon Rodriguez (Patrick) and Carla Overby (Dwayne); her sisters, Mary Whitt Bowes, Ella Whitt Redd and Betty Whitt Terrell; her grandchildren, Bart, Phillip, Billy, Jr., Holly, Kyndrea and Travis; her great grandchildren, Nolan, Aubree T., Luke, Lane, Lee, Ace, Addison, Jaylene and Adrian; and her great great grandchildren, Maylene and Kyrie. She is also survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
