She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Williams and Ethel Williams; her husband Harold Edgar Strickland, Jr.; and her son Harold Edgar Strickland III. She is survived by: her daughter Daphne Lee Strickland Horton (Hugh); her grandchildren, Charles Horton, Tiffany Horton, Christopher Horton, Brandon Strickland, Lindsey Strickland and Hayle Strickland; her stepgrandchildren, Sahraya Hunter Dandridge and Christopher Hunter; and her daughter-in-law Nevelle Strickland. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brooks and White Funeral Home (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an animal shelter of one's choice.
