She was predeceased by: her husband Elvin Gill; her son Donald Gill; her parents, Lemmie Satterfield and Katie Satterfield; her sister Mable Bowen; and her grandson-in-law Hao Dong.

She is survived by: her daughter Ann Barton (Bill) of Wilmington; her daughters-in-law, Donna Gill and Ruth Gill; her grandchildren, Cyrus Gill (Jennifer) of Raleigh, Heather Hooper (Bo) of Raleigh, Laura Hao of Wilmington and Katie Barkley (Brett) of Winesburg, Ohio.; and her siblings, Shirley Bullock (Ray), Faye Gryder (Terry) and Billy Satterfield (Nancy).
