Sterling Harris Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on April 18, 2026, at the age of 94, Sterling Harris (Roxboro, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Sterling may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Long and Mary Warren Long; and her husband William Merritt "Bill" Harris. She is survived by: her children, Linda H. Gill (Kenneth), Glenn M. Harris (Beverly) and Roger D. Harris (Brenda); and her grandchildren, Heath Gill (Dana), Brook Toone (Jonathan), Sandy Meachum (Kenneth) and Robyn Harris-Morton (Kendal). She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
