With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Swanson Rollen Clay (Roxboro, North Carolina), born in Halifax, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 5, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Swanson Clay Sr. and Madeline Clay; his siblings, Vernell Davis, Margie Seamster and Herbert Clay; and his son Charles Clay.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Clay; and his children, Stephen Clay, Nancy Clay Spencer, Samuel Clay (Holli), Suzanne Trent (Brandon) and Sheldon Clay (Jamie). He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and several nieces/nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brooks and White Funeral Home (907 Durham Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
