He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lester, Sr. and Virginia Smith Sears; and his brother Grant Lester. He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda Coleman (Charles) and Thomasina Williams (Paki); his grandchildren, Candice Hamlett, Shemeka Bumpass, Darry Bumpass and Ananda Williams; his siblings, Joe Lester of Roxboro, Jerry Lester of Washington, DC, Willamina Lester of New Jersey and Shirley Lester of New York; and his niece Angela Lester. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
