He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wyatt Rogers, Sr. and Willie Lee Beard Rogers; his siblings, Lewis Rogers, Wayne Rogers, Carolyn Rogers and Charles "Chuck" Rogers; and his cousin Howard "Sonny" Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife Lula Rogers; his children, David L. Rogers (Rosalind) of Richmond, Virginia, Barbara Ann Rogers of Roxboro and Consuela Rogers of Okinawa, Japan; his goddaughter Janay Tuck (Rodney) of Roxboro; his siblings, Tommy Rogers (Vanessa) of Roxboro, Leon Rogers (Rose Young) of Roxboro, Daisey Ragland (Donnell Clayton, Jr.) of Roxboro, Bob Rogers of Roxboro and Nathaniel Rogers of Roxboro; his aunt Mageline Ragland of Durham; and his sister-in-law Maggie T. Rogers of Charlotte. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cunningham and Nelson Funeral Home (87 Brookland Church Rd, Roxboro, NC 27573). The lying in state was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church (1851 Cedar Grove Church Rd, Roxboro, NC 27574). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
