She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Oakley, Sr. and Gracie Alma Clayton Oakley; her spouse Arch Mason Suitt; and her siblings, Margaret O'Briant, Christine Oakley, Lucille Eastwood Turner, Evon Duncan, Virginia Clayton, Sue Latta, James Oakley, J. W. Oakley, Jr., Raymond Oakley and Lex Samuel Oakley.
She is survived by: her daughters, JoAnn S. Puryear (Kevin) of Roxboro, NC and Karen S. Trickey (David) of Roxboro, NC; her granddaughters, Taylor Anne Puryear, Kayleigh Davidson Trickey, Jordan Elizabeth Owens (Blake) and Caroline Dayle Puryear; her siblings, Barbara O. Loftis and Carl Oakley (Lillian); and her sister-in-law Marie Oakley. She is also survived by nieces & nephews.
