He is survived by: his wife Mary Ella Long; his children, Samantha Leigh Finch (Merkie Duckworth), Lauren Whitney Long (Ken Loftis) and George Ray Long (Heather); his siblings, Willie E. "Sweet Pea" Long (Nellie) and Clara Taylor; his friend Freddy Walker; and his pet Lilly.
