He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Tony McCarter and Eugenia Francis Blevins McCarter; his wife Bertie Marie Herbaugh McCarter; his son Michael J. McCarter; and his siblings, Reva, Ruby Dell, Conda Sue and Ross.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna M Larsen (Terry); his grandchildren, Jacob, Jeremy and Julie (Jay); his great grandchildren, Taylor and Kinsley; and his siblings, David (Reba) and Barbara.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ruffin-Stacey Baptist Church (261 Estes Rd, Ruffin, NC 27326). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at the Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park (6500 Liberty Rd, Julian, NC 27283).
