He was predeceased by: his wife Julia Collins Stephens; his son Robert "Tink" Stephens (Susan); his grandson Thomas Stephens; his parents, Isaac Spencer Stephens and Marshie Stanley Stephens; and his siblings, Isaac Stephens Jr. (Mildred), John Stephens (Katherine), Frances Huskey (Wilbur), Marvin Stephens (Temple), George Stephens (Jean), Phillip Stephens (Kathy), Donald Stephens (Joyce) and Robert Stephens.
He is survived by: his brothers, James Stephens (Shelby) and Wayne Stephens (Orenda); his sisters-in-law, Jean Stephens, Orenda Stephens, Kathy Stephens and Joyce Stephens; his sons, Mark Stephens (Susan) and Timothy Stephens (Tammy); and his grandchildren, Haily Stephens, Angela "Angie" Stephens, Amanda "Mandy" Stephens Pulliam (Jeffrey), Julie Ann Stephens (Joseph), Reid Stephens, William Stephens (Breanna) and Marshie Stephens. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
He was highly respected in his field and was even commended by the United States Air Force for his contributions to their bases worldwide—a testament to his skill, work ethic, and character.
