It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Ann Newnam Walker (Ruffin, North Carolina), who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Womble Lester "Buddy" Newnam and Elizabeth Hutchens Newnam; her sister Louise Robertson; her brothers-in-law, Red Robertson and Barry Southard; and her nephew Scott Robertson.

She is survived by : her children, Jennifer Walker DeLapp (Chris) and Jeffrey Neal Walker (Traci); her great grandchildren, Barrett, Olivia and Benjamin Ezell; her sisters-in-law, Milly Southard and Linda Lynsky; her nephew Chris Robertson; and also, Wallace Neal Walker, Trace DeLapp (Caroline), Tyler Walker, Allyson Ezell (Chase), Ethan Cooley and Pam Williams.
