He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Happy" Smith and Cassie Preston Smith; and his siblings, Jack Smith, Peggy Blevins, Jim Smith, Bob Smith and Bill Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Burrow Smith; his daughter Shannon Smith (Brett Leasure); his sister Betty Ernst; and his siblings-in-law, Gaye Smith, Ann Smith, Louise Smith and Landon Burrow (Annette). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
