She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest William McGee and Lily Lorena Vaughn McGee; her husband Billy Gray James; her grandsons, Jamie Shamel and D. J. Edwards; and her great grandchild Gage Edwards.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Edwards (Dallas) and Shawna Brannock (Isaac); her grandchildren, Michelle, Christa and Chad; her great grandchildren, Josh, April, Kash and Brittany; her great great grandchildren, Cali and Declan; her sister Kay Mykytyn Henning; and her siblings-in-law, Janie McGee, Odis James (Linda) and Frank James.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rural Hall Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (305 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd, Rural Hall, NC 27045). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at the Poplar Springs Christian Church Cemetery (7120 North Carolina Hwy 66 S, King, NC 27021).
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to United Baptist Church, Trellis Supportive Care or Poplar Springs Christian Church.
