We announce the death of Darrel Keith Flippin of Rural Hall, North Carolina, who passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Edison and Lucille Whitfield Flippin; and his aunt Rhumelle Flippin Tuttle. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Newman Flippin; his son Derrick Flippin (Stefanie Nicks) of Rural Hall; his siblings, Rhonda Wood of Suffolk, VA and Mike Flippin of Elkin, NC; and his cousin Jimmy Shamel.
