He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Darnell and Ruby Darnell; his siblings, Johnny Darnell, Mary Higgins and Barbara Roten; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Darnell, Kathy Darnell, Emma Darnell, Bobby Joe Higgins and Archie Roten.
He is survived by: his brothers, Bill Darnell, Bobby Darnell (Doris) and James Darnell (Shirley); and his nieces and nephews, Teresa Yost (Skip), Pam Mashburn (Bill), Suzette Shelton (Mark), Traci Cornelius (David), Julie Darnell, Danny Higgins (Deedee), Joe Darnell (Julie) and Tony Roten (Lisa).
