It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Horace E. Harrelson of Rural Hall, North Carolina, who passed away on November 9, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Horace is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Houston and Dorothy S. Harrelson of Mullins; his siblings, Travis Harrelson and Elisabeth "Lib" H. Flowers of Lakeview, SC; and his nephew Joe Flowers of Myrtle Beach, SC..
He is survived by: his wife Kim W. Harrelson of Rural Hall; his siblings, Esterlene Claud (Leslie) of Charlotte, NC, Linda Johnson (Jules) of Shelby, NC and Larry Harrelson (Ceal) of Raleigh, NC; his children, Clay Young, Sr. and Jessica Kirby-Brooks; and his grandchildren, Clay Young, Jr. and Georgia Brooks. He is also survived by six brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, and one deceased sister-in-law on his wife.
