He was predeceased by : his parents, John Henry Norris and Kathleen Irvin (Norris); his stepfather Robert Irvin; and his brother Steve Norris. He is survived by : his wife Sandra Norris (Smith); his mother-in-law Jean Smith; his children, Gina Powell (Gregory Powell) and David Norris, Jr.; his grandchildren, Elisha Weld (Chris Weld), Jeanna Hutsenpiller (Stephen Hutsenpiller), Elisabeth Norris, Dorothy Jane Norris, Autry Grace Norris, Emily Norris, Jonathan Powell (Rosie Jackson), David Spencer Norris III and John Henry Norris II; and his great grandchildren, Elora Weld, Elena Weld, Aniya Powell, Aden Powell and Joseph Powell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Word of Faith Christian School, 207 Old Flynn Road, Spindale, NC 28160.
