She was predeceased by: her parents, Brady C. Mathis and Lellie Strawder Mathis; her husband George Howard Hiers, Sr.; and her siblings, Beatrice Ricks, Charles Mathis and Paul Mathis.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Hiers Cobb (Jim) and George Howard Hiers, Jr. (Carol); her grandchildren, Ken Keffer (Patricia), Derek Mauldin (Heather), Ashley Cobb, James Cobb (Kathryn), Pamela Hiers and Trevor Hiers; her great grandchildren, Gus Keffer, Tiffany Keffer, Kaeli Mauldin, Leah Mauldin, Travion Hiers and Benton Cobb; and her great great grandchildren, Riley Keffer and Keria Keffer. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
