She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Scruggs and Audrey Scruggs; her daughter Angie Greene; her brother Johnny Scruggs; her grandson Baley Skipper; and her siblings, Danny of Spartanburg, Steve Scruggs (Sharon) of Watkinsville and Georgia.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lanetta Turner (Scott) of Rutherfordton, Audrey Nicholson (Trae) of Chesnee and Debra Turley of Inman; her sibling Gail Fowler; her sister-in-law Lynn Scruggs of Cedar Park, Texas; and her grandchildren, Ben, Dallas, Haley of Brooke, RJ, Abbi and Brantley. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sandy Springs Baptist Church (382 Sandy Springs Rd, Rutherfordton, NC 28139). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sandy Springs First Baptist Church.
