He is survived by: his children, Tony Strickland (Christy) of Ellenboro and Melissa Strickland Cooper of Forest City; his stepson Brian Bennett (Tonya) of Rutherfordton; his siblings, Bill Strickland (Sheila) of Ellenboro, Doug Strickland (Gail) of Ellenboro, Mike Strickland (Pam) of Ellenboro and Linda Strickland Philbeck of Ellenboro; and his grandchildren, Kyle Cooper, Kandace Critcher, Kent Cooper, Jordan Strickland, Nicholas Strickland, Ben Lynch, Baylee Lynch, Destiny Lynch, Naomi Lynch and Hunter Bennett.
