He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Millard Head and Winnie Bertha Clements Head of Rutherford County; and his brother Larry David Head. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Head; his children, Jason Head of Forest City and Meredith Eichholz (Derek); his grandson Henry of Fayetteville; his sisters, Barbara Edney (Willie) of Bostic and Carolyn Smith (William) of Rutherfordton; and his sister-in-law Annette Head of Forest City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Padgett & King Mortuary (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043).
