She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Walter E. Boone and Flora Vaughan Boone; and her brother Walter Eugene Boone. She is survived by: her husband Bob Smith; her children, Wesley Smith (Angie) of Forest City and Laura Smith Hodge (Todd) of Rutherfordton; her grandchildren, Luke Smith (Brielle), Landon Smith (Emily), Lane Smith (Saige Patterson), Grier Hodge and Boone Hodge; and her great grandchildren, Alora Smith and Ella Smith.
