She was predeceased by: her parents, Barley Benton and Ruby Benton; her son Richard Walters; her husbands, Jack Walters (Howard) and David M. Harris; and her siblings, Lacy Benton, Mary Alma Dill, Winford Benton, H. B. Benton, Janice Rushing, Grady Benton and Tommy Benton.
She is survived by: her children, Howard Walters of St. Pauls, Faye Thompson of St. Pauls and Joanie White (David) of St. Pauls; her grandchildren, Beth Walters Caulley, Jennifer Walters, Teresa Thompson, Anthony Thompson, Rodney Thompson, Charli White, Julia Walters Bridgers and Richard Walters; her stepsons, David Harris Jr. and Daryl Harris; and her siblings, Linda McLendon of Dudley, NC, Bobby Benton of Lumberton, NC and Shelby Wilson of New Castle, Wyoming.. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Westview Pentecostal Holiness Church (467 E Great Marsh Church Rd, St Pauls, NC 28384). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Cornerstone Holiness Church (337 S Elizabeth St, St Pauls, NC 28384). A burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at the Oak Ridge Cemetery (1019 W Broad St, St Pauls, NC 28384).
