He was predeceased by: his parents, Togo Branch and Ona Mae Hunt Branch; and his siblings, Johnny Branch, William Luther "Bill" Branch, Emma Locklear and Thelma Jacobs.
He is survived by: his children, Donald "Pa Sack" Branch Jr. (Jennifer) and Della Riggins (James); and his siblings, Ronald "Buck" Branch (Angela) and Mable Jacobs (Eva Nevis). He is also survived by six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (812 S Main St, Red Springs, NC 28377). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
