With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eddie Locklear Jr. (Saint Pauls, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 3, 2025 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his parents, Quessie Locklear and Lizzie Bell Clark Locklear; and his siblings, Rev. Murland Clark, Quessie Locklear, Jr., Lawrence "Tonto" Strickland Locklear, Carolyn Brewer, Joyce Locklear and Lizzie Ann Locklear.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sylvia Cummings of St. Paul's, Crawford Locklear (Angela) of Lumberton, Evelyn Hicks of St. Paul's, Shelia Hales of Shannon, Goldie Chavis of Shannon, Marnice Swoap of Raeford, Mary Ann Haywood of Lumberton, Sarah Locklear of Wilmington, Larry Locklear of Rowland, Gene Locklear of Wilmington, Jimmy Earl Locklear of Shannon and Jackie Dean Locklear of Wilmington.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Saint Pauls Funeral Home (565 W McLean St, St Pauls, NC 28384). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Saint Paul's Holiness Church (10341 Barker 10 Mile Rd, St Pauls, NC 28384). A burial will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church (100 Church St, Shannon, NC 28386).
