It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Wayne Chavis of Saint Pauls, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by : his son Phillip Locklear; his grandson Christian Locklear; his great grandchild Sophie Locklear; his sisters, Wanda Locklear and Regina Hawks (Leslie); his brother-in-law Gregory Schneberger; his nephews, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Phillip and Marcus; his niece Amy; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aallajah, Chad, Shyan, Aidan, Kayla, Star, Faith, Justina, Linda Locklear and Doris Hardin. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
