He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry M. Ivey and Janie Burke Ivey; his siblings, Walter Ivey, Durham Ivey, Pauline Blackwell, Frances Jernigan and Mildred Britt; his great grandchild Tristan David Locklear; and his grandson-in-law Daniel S. Locklear.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Sayer (Russell) of Four Oaks, NC, Edward Ivey (Angie) of St. Pauls, NC and Debby Malone (Billy) of Lumber Bridge, NC.; his grandchildren, Ashley, Amber (Kyle), Emily, Rusty (Khrystal) and Stephanie (Daniel); and his great grandchildren, Destiny, Kalyez, Ka'Liyah, Nathan, Adaline, Payton, Chloe, Jett, Austin, Dylan and Autumn.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Life Center (498 E McDuffie Crossing Rd, St Pauls, NC 28384). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at the Oak Ridge Cemetery (1019 W Broad St, St Pauls, NC 28384).
