He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Britt, Sr. and Betty R. Britt; his son John C. Britt, III; and his siblings, Robert Barnes, George Barnes, Edward Britt, William Britt, Betty Barnes and Dalephine Phipps.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Ann Britt; his daughter Katherine A. "Peebles" Britt of St. Pauls; and his sisters, Delores C. Grice of Leland and Marie Pouliout of New Hampshire. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gray's Creek Church of God (4018 Chicken Foot Rd, St Pauls, NC 28384). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at the Carroll Family Cemetery.
