She was predeceased by: her father Leslie Thomas; her husband Tracy Gilbert Beard, Sr.; her children, Tracy Gilbert Beard, Jr. and Barbara Ann Beard Merritt; and her sisters, Annie Ruth Penfield Drukenbrod, Mildred Penfield Singletary, Bessie Emanuel and Betty Townsend.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Carol Beard Brisson (William Dale), Kay Frances Beard Ellison (John), Lorie Gail Beard Pearce (Billy) and Ginny Denise Beard Mire. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
