We bid farewell to Alice Thornton (Salemburg, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 23, 2026 at the age of 74. Alice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Senter Holland and Varnita "Lady" Simmons Holland; her husband Robert Allen Thornton, Sr.; and her siblings, Christine Bruce, Esterlene Holland, William Gady Holland and Houstus Holland.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lorie Ann Bullard Sutton of Autryville and Carrie Nicole Spell of Newton Grove; her stepchildren, Robert Allen Thornton, Jr., Patricia Longino (Matthew) and Nina Thoman (Kevin); her grandchildren, Emily Hope Luna (Pedro Luna) of Autryville, Aaron Curtis Sutton (Adell Wells) of Autryville and Brittney Nicole Spell of Roseboro; her great grandchildren, Adrian and Ella Luna; and her niece Sophia Holland Price.
