He was predeceased by : his parents, Rosdan Beal and Oleta Williams Beal; his sons, Rodney Lathan Beal and Kevin Scott Beal; his granddaughter Lauren Brooke Beal; and his brothers, Archie Beal and Wallace Beal.

He is survived by : his wife Connie D. Beal; his siblings, Iris Beal Barefoot of Greensboro and G. R. Beal (Faye) of Autryville; his niece Missy Beal Lynch; and his great-nephews, Conner Faircloth and Cameron Faircloth. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
