We announce the death of Alice Faye Jefferies (Salisbury, North Carolina), who passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 80. Alice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel E. Blackwell, Sr. and Beatrice Hall Blackwell; her husband Louis D. Jefferies Jr.; her brothers, Samuel E. Blackwell Jr. and William "Bill" Blackwell; and her close friend Ruby Stout Blackwell.
She is survived by: her sons, Teddy A. Blackwell (Deborah) of McLeansville and Arlando J. Blackwell of Salisbury; and her siblings, Frank S. Blackwell, Sr. (North) of Salisbury and Barbara Joyce Blackwell of Salisbury. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Luke Baptist Church (410 Hawkinstown Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
