She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Clemens (Steve) of Muncie, Regina Eckert (Dave) of Muncie, Indiana, Dwane Newton (Gwen) of Salisbury, Jeffrey Newton (Dana) of Beaufort and David Newton (Sharon) of Salisbury; her grandchildren, Stephenie Brugger (Phil), Jodi Emery (Josh), Heidi Turner (Nick), Natalie Newton, Sabrina Newton, Katrina Dorman (Aaron), Shawn Clemens (Melanie), Scott Clemens (Kristina), Chad Newton (Joanna), Thad Newton (Brooke), Ivan Newton (Katie), Evan Newton (Heidi), Austin Eckert (Janae) and Kelton Eckert; and her brothers, Sam Massey of West Point, VA, Bill Massey (Kathy) of Urbana, VA and Charles Massey (Claity) of Buffalo, NY. She is also survived by 36 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Salisbury Bible Methodist (255 Majestic Dr, Salisbury, NC 28146).
