She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Barnes Ferguson and Alfred B. Ferguson; her husband Arthur Szymanski; her stepson Jeffrey Szymanski; her brother-in-law William "Bill" Albright; and her nephew Michael Albright.
She is survived by: her siblings, Stephen Ferguson of Kannapolis, Stanley Ferguson (Melanie) of Salisbury and Carol Ferguson Albright of Thomasville; and her nieces and nephews, Whitney Ferguson, Lauren Ferguson, Mark Albright (Susan), Kyle Albright and Josh Albright.
