He was predeceased by: his parents, Brown Lowry and Crissie Cummings Lowry; his wife Marlis Marie Lowery; and his siblings, Orvis Lowry, Delwyn Lowry, Braddie Lowery and Debra Van Horn.
He is survived by: his siblings, Edsel Lowry, Barbara Farmer, Era Elliot and Deloris Barnett; his children, Christa Lowery, Craig Lowery and Emily Thram-Slagter; and his grandchildren, Aidan Lowery, Ava Lowery, Jolissa Schanus, Jeremy Gunn and Alysa Nething. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Sunday, June 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory (494 E Plaza Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115).
