He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clifford Coburn and Edith Byrd Coburn; and his sisters, Geraldine Coburn, Elizabeth Maxine Coburn, Naomi Ruth Coburn and Karen Coburn.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Coburn; his daughter Rosemary Lee Foster; his grandchildren, Dakota Ray Lee Harding and Dalton Ryan Pennington; and his siblings, Bessie Ann Nash (Gene), Marvin "Buck" Coburn and Delbert Coburn.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powles Staton Funeral Home (913 W Main St, Rockwell, NC 28138). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mary Ruth Coburn, 180 Trexler Road, Salisbury, NC 28146, to help provide care for Charles' beloved horses.
