He is survived by: his children, James Carling, III and Patricia Fields (Don) of Salisbury; his siblings, Glenn Gearhart (Sharon) of Huntington Beach, CA, James Gearhart and Ann Gearhart; his grandchildren, Bryan, James, Abigail, Patience, Delila and Peyton; and his great grandchild May.
