It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Frank Austin of Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlo Frank Austin and Dorothy Eddleman Austin. He is survived by: his wife Judith Cozart Austin; his children, Brian Wesley Austin (Sophie) of Waxhaw and Julie Austin Goodman (Brian) of Salisbury; his grandchildren, Elise, Elliott Austin, Reese and Reagan Goodman; and his siblings, Linda Bailey (Bob) and Kenny Austin (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center, Salisbury, NC.
