Doris Peaks Jones Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Peaks Jones (Salisbury, North Carolina), who passed away on March 10, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Copell Johnson; her husband Dr. Walter G. Jones; her daughter Jennifer D. Jones; her granddaughter Ayasha D. Mason; and her siblings, Earl Peaks and Alberta P. Davis.

She is survived by: her daughters, Georgia and Joycelyn D. Mason-Mitchell of Rex, GA; her godchildren, Kevin Kelsey, Dr. Kimberly D. Kelsey of Salisbury, NC and Amelia D. Croom of Upper Marlboro; her grandchildren, Mark-Anthony Mason of Rex, Jauquil Mason of Rex, James-Lee Mason of Rex, Quintin Mason of Rex, Tory Mason of Rex, Jessica Jones of Rex, Omari Mason of Rex, Nicholas Williams of Rex, Jenay Mitchell of Rex, Candice Mitchell of Rex and Allen Mitchell of Rex; and her great grandchildren, Journee Mason, Tory Mason Jr., Elijah Small Jr., Ti'Mazi Bullock and Kasai-Royale Jones. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.
