Dorothy Carmichael Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Josephine Hepler Carmichael, 94, formerly of Thomasville, died December 24, 2019 at Brightmoor Nursing Center in Salisbury. Mrs. Carmichael was born January 15, 1925 in Thomasville, a daughter to George and Pearl Cox Hepler. She was a resident of this area all her life and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is her daughter, Kathy Scott of Lexington; son, Sandy Keith Carmichael of Jacksonville, Florida; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Carmichael Jr.; and her son, Scotty J. Carmichael. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. The interment will be held at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Thomasville. Special thanks is extended to the doctors, nurses and staff at Brightmoor Nursing Center and Trellis Supportive Care for all that was done for Mrs. Carmichael.
