It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Martin Safrit of Salisbury, North Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lee Safrit and Mae Belle Weaver Safrit; his siblings, Frances Heilig, Peggy Agner, Robert "Bud" Safrit, Ken Safrit, Glenn Safrit, Steve Safrit, Neil Safrit and James Safrit; his granddaughter Allie Ward; and his daughter-in-law Debra Lambert.
He is survived by: his wife Jane "Jean" Eury Safrit; his brother Tom Safrit (Irene); his stepchildren, James Lambert, Sandy Ward (Eddie) and Pam Spicer (Jeff); his grandchildren, Kyle Ward (Nicole), Sheana Litaker and Brandy Burgess (Michael); and his godchildren, Hunter Scott Safrit and Jamie Safrit Sokolowski. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
